The first Online Vegan Fair.

On Sat 11 April the vegan fairs team enter uncharted territory and ran the world’s first online vegan fair!

The motivation for the event was to support the many independent businesses who usually rely heavily on the income from vegan fairs, festivals and markets to keep their business alive.

Taking place on their website and Facebook the event consisted of an online marketplace that showcased a range of independent traders and their plant-based products. There was also a full programme of talks and demos on Facebook Live.

The stats.

The event was praised as a huge success with over 4,000 visitors to the vegan fairs website across the day from an amazing 34 different countries and a total of 22.5k pageviews. Over on Facebook the videos gained a combined total of 6,000 views.

Marketplace.

The online marketplace consisted of 27 “featured” traders who were given their own trader profile page with an introductory video, bio on their business and a preview of some of their most popular products. Customers were able to place orders through the trader’s website and have their products delivered to their home 🏡

Talks + demos.

We covered a range of topics throughout the day including a live Q&A with a vegan personal trainer, cookery demos, how to go vegan and a powerful talk from author + activist John Awen. You can watch back all the broadcasts on our facebook page.
